Valentine's Day was slightly different this year...

We found ourselves immersed in the magic of The Phantom's Rose Masquerade Ball organised by the Fantasy Events company 'Bookish and Brash'. We were on board as the photographers for the evening... and what an evening we had!

Set in the ornate banqueting hall of the Birmingham Council House, the whole event exuded opulence. With performances from ballet dancers and a brilliant soprano vocalist, guests were in for a treat all evening!

The soundtrack of the evening was provided by the melodic sounds of The Kings String Quartet. Entering the space, the sound of accompanying violins made you feel like you were truly walking through a fantasy novel come to life!

We meandered through the attendees, capturing joyful candids and faces full of awe. Most guests wore masks, in true masquerade fashion, which gave the event even more of an air of mystery.

Guests were invited to complete quests and riddles from mysterious letters that appeared around the venue, which brought excitement and added another layer to an already wonder-filled evening.

Cast members were on hand to welcome and guide guests through their quests, and a mysterious Phantom stalked the halls of the venue. We were treated to a sword-fight, which concluded the night's performances.

Guest were then welcomed to dance the rest of the night away!

We had such a wonderful time capturing this event, and the opportunity to meet so many of its attendees. It's truly such a good feeling to be surrounded by like-minded individuals who love to indulge in the love of fantasy.

We adore the photos we captured of the whole evening, and the images showcased here are only a small snapshot into a truly memorable night!

We'd love to capture more fantasy balls this year and beyond, so if you are planning your own event and would like us along as photographers to capture the merriment, please do not hesistate to contact us!
